A musical adventure for under 7s and their grown-ups.
Come on an adventure with Billie, a curious soul who loves adventures, and somehow adventures always seem to find them!
Strange things have been happening recently in The Merryberry Valley and Billie wants to find out what’s going on. They must now go on an epic journey through the deepest, darkest wood, across the widest, windiest river and up the steepest, snowiest mountain to the highest peak in the land to find the Magic Tree Stump and bring balance and harmony back to the valley.
There’ll be music, laughter and some serious silliness that the whole family can enjoy. All you need to do is let your imagination run wild!
“My 7 year old daughter was totally engaged for every minute, you obviously inspired her as she has been making up plays and making us watch her show since she got home. Well done!” - Audience member
“The kids and I thoroughly enjoyed it!” - Audience member
“A wonderfully engaging performance, thoroughly appreciated by the children of Nurserytime.” - Nurserytime
Who we are…
Tree Stump Theatre was founded in 2021 by Eleanor Chaganis and Dale Jewitt.
Eleanor graduated from Guildford School of Acting in 2014 and since then has toured nationally and internationally with various theatre companies including The Handlebards, S4 International, and The Customs House. She has performed to children and adults across the UK and internationally from Europe to Africa, the Arabian Gulf, India and East Asia.
While touring Zimbabwe, India, Thailand and the UK with The Handlebards, she also worked with children, providing creative workshops to expand their knowledge of Shakespeare and give them an experience of performing. She also has over 10 years of teaching experience and delivering workshops.
Eleanor has also been a choreographer, production assistant, shadow producer and assistant director for several childrens shows and projects with The Customs House, Enter CIC and S4K International. All companies that specialise in community driven projects.
She also has experience working with people with additional needs as a teaching assistant in SEN schools.
Dale is an actor, writer and director born in the north east of England, currently based in South Shields, South Tyneside. Graduating from Northumbria University with a BA (hons) in Performance in 2012, Dale later went on to train at Northern Stage as part of NORTH 2016 - an artist development programme
aimed at training local creatives in theatre making and producing as well as performing.
A proficient and confident facilitator, Dale has a wealth of experience leading and delivering workshops to all ages from young children to adults across a range of arts subjects.
