The Spacebunker Tapes Present 'Fade Away' - The tale of a young girl who struggles to come to terms with her sexuality, and along the way must confront issues of identity, prejudice, lost faith and social acceptance. The show is a heartfelt and raw look into the pain of growing up in a world where you feel you don't belong. The Spacebunker Tapes are an acoustic duo, based in Gateshead, and have been writing and performing together since 2019. Their last live show was warmly received at The Cluny, until the band was sidelined, like us all, by the pandemic, and retreated to their Spacebunker!

The duo continued writing while the world slept, and after honing their craft behind closed doors they were recently awarded 'Demo of the month' for their bandcamp release 'Anywhere' by Narc magazine in February 2021, with the track also receiving radio play on BBC Newcastle. 'Fade Away' is a brand new show combining original spoken word poetry and acoustic songs, and the Alphabetti Theatre have set the stage for the duo's debut performance of the piece.
