A stand-up show about modern parenting in an anxious world.

Catherine Scott is a writer and stand-up comedian. Mam Up is a work-in-progress show that looks at life as a parent, from the constant renditions of ‘Wind The Bobbin Up’ and the seemingly inescapable worries (‘how clean are doorhandles?’).

Between the Instamams, the apps that promise inner peace, the inescapable worries, the dark underbelly of nursery rhymes and the inescapable worries, Catherine unpicks the pressures of parenting asking where they really come from and what is ‘normal’ anyway? Perfect for parents and anyone who wonders how much worry one person can handle.

Toured around library settings in June 2023, this work-in-progress show has entertained audiences despite it’s sometimes serious subject matter.
